About Private Nature Photography Tuition on Mt Wellington
Hobart’s most distinctive feature is Mount Wellington and from the summit at 1,271m (4,169ft) above sea level there are spectacular views of Hobart and beyond to be experienced and a unique alpine landscape that will inspire your photography.
‘The mountain’ features a myriad of landscape and nature photography opportunities including magnificent landscapes, endemic and native plants, flowers and birdlife - it has been a popular place for locals and visitors alike since the early days of European settlement. The natural habitats include rainforest, sub-alpine and alpine vegetation - you may see native wildlife and birds in their natural habitat, including possibly a platypus (which we have seen before) and a 'living fossil', the mountain shrimp.
