Huon Valley Mid Winter Festival

The Huon Valley Mid Winter Festival has become a highlight of the winter months carving a unique place amongst Tasmania's many festivals.

The Festival runs over a weekend in mid July and features food, music, roving performances and as much cider as you can legally consume. As is expected there is plenty of amazing food to chose from including plenty of choices for those with allergies (gluten and dairy) as well as Vegetarian and Vegan options.

Some of the major events during the festival are influenced by ancient pagan traditions and include the Burning Man and the Wassailing procession where festival goers and performers sing and dance to scare away bad spirits in the hope of improving the harvest.
