Tassie Eco Film Festival
A first of it's kind film festival is coming to Hobart in November showcasing films that explore environmental issues from around the globe.
The Tassie Eco Film Fest run by the Tasmanian Environmental Trust with a program centred around four days of films that will inspire, entertain and educate.
"We don’t believe that caring about the environment needs to be boring and with film as a medium stories can be told and understood through images that cannot be translated into the written word." said TCT Director Peter McGlone.
A focus of the festival will also be cafe conversations held around the city with expert facilitators such as Emmy-Award Winning Foreign Correspondent Emma James and experts from local environmental organisations.
The festival is taking submissions from around the world with films already coming in from Australia, Solomon Islands, the United States, Iran, France, India, Brazil and locally from Hobart. If you want to submit a film you can do so here.
