General Terms
Tasmanian Safaris - Terms and Conditions

If you pay by Credit Card, the transaction will show on your statement as Tasafari Pty Ltd.

Tasmanian Safaris - Camping & Canoe Tours reserve the right to amend prices, itineraries and tours due to weather and operational reasons.

We make every effort to safeguard our clients and their personal belongings. In the unlikely event that you experience loss or injury beyond our control, we cannot be held responsible. Travel insurance is not included and we strongly recommend that clients take out their own personal insurance to cover against such incidents.

Cancellation policy
A deposit of 20% must be paid to secure a booking. The balance of the tour price must be paid at least 15 days prior to departure. The following fees apply in the event of booking cancellations:
15 days – 30 days notice 30% of tour price
48 hours – 15 days notice 50% of tour price
24 hours – 48 hours notice 75% of tour price
Within 24 hours 100% of tour price

Tours booked through travel agents may attract an additional cancellation fee from the travel agent, please discuss this with the agent directly.

Fitness requirements
Tasmanian Safaris tours are designed for fit and active people, therefore, clients should consider their health and physical condition. Some bush walks may take in excess of 4 hours over uneven terrain. Participation in some activities may be at the tour guides discretion.

Special dietary requirements and medical conditions
It is essential that you disclose relevant dietary and medical information at the time of booking to enable Tasmanian Safaris staff to prepare for your trip and to ensure personal and group safety during the tour.

What to bring for your Tasmanian Safaris - Camping Tours
A comprehensive gear check-list is available on request. Some important items we recommend as follows:
- warm clothing including a hat (suitable for bush walking)
- waterproof clothing with a hood
- sturdy walking shoes
- sunscreen and a hat
- water bottle
- a warm sleeping bag

For Tasmanian Safaris - Canoe Tours
A comprehensive gear check-list is available on request. Some important items we recommend as follows
- warm clothing including a hat (suitable for Kayaking)
- waterproof clothing with a hood
- sturdy walking shoes
- also a pair of shoes that you can use in the Kayak that can get wet
- sunscreen and a hat
- water bottle

Due to limitations in storage space, maximum luggage allowance is 15kg per person.

Pre-trip briefing
Tasmanian Safaris hold a pre-trip meeting on the morning of departure for all tours. The guide will pick you up from your accommodation, or meet at Seaport for Tamar River canoe tours, and present the briefing before departure. As part of the pre-trip briefing, the guide will conduct a verbal gear check, confirm any special requirements, arrange hire equipment, luggage storage and issue each person with forms to complete their emergency contact details and sign a Waiver of Liability before departure. This briefing will ensure that you are prepared for the tour and provide you with the opportunity to ask the guide any questions before your adventure begins.

Tour Description

Take a short guided tour of the Tamar on Hobie pedal powered canoes. The unique Mirage drive foot powered flippers let your legs do all the hard work while your hands are free to steer and take photos

This tour is dependent on weather and tides so please have we may suggest an alternative time to you. Tours can not run after sunset or before sunrise, so midwinter times will be different
